About Stephanie
Stephanie Iglesias is a Miami-born and raised artist and registered nurse, painting mostly in watercolor and acrylic to capture the beauty she finds in the world around her.
She started painting at five years old, taking summer art classes with local professional artist Connie Lloveras. It was the one thing she looked forward to every summer: five days a week, 8 am to 3 pm, with her mom often having to drag her out at the end of the day. Her passion faded in middle school when she picked up travel softball, then resurfaced briefly in high school, where she painted close-up flowers and earned the nickname “little Georgia O’Keeffe” from her teacher. She put the brushes down again through college, but when she finally had time, painting became something she couldn’t put down, just like when she was younger.
Nature is her greatest inspiration: the flowers that first pulled her in, and the ocean she grew up around in the Florida Keys and along Miami’s coast. Painting has opened her eyes to the beauty around her and taught her to notice small details, which she hopes to capture in her artwork. That same close attention follows her into nursing, keeping her present at the bedside. Painting and nursing have become two practices that sharpen each other.
In a world where neutrals fill every room, Stephanie wants to bring color, warmth, and life back into a space. She paints to hold onto the beautiful moments, hoping her work can fill a room with the beauty of nature and spark the same joy that stepping outside does for the soul.
