It's hard to explain why, but there's something about receiving flowers that makes a woman feel so special. Their delicate beauty and fragile nature remind me of the beauty of femininity, which is partly why I've always loved them so much.

Orchids, in particular, hold a special place in my heart. Growing up in Miami, I've always seen them everywhere, from the trees to the homes of loved ones. They remind me of home, but they also remind me of love, as they're the flowers my boyfriend often gifts me.

I painted these orchids from life while sitting in my boyfriend's house, spending hours studying their shape, color, and every delicate detail. There's something so special about slowing down to appreciate the natural beauty of a flower.

Flowers may eventually fade, but through painting, their beauty can live on in your home forever.
